What our listing labels mean
Open “Review evidence and buyer checks” on a supplier card to see the source, date and scope recorded for that listing.
Criteria updated October 9, 2026. A listing can be useful while its review is incomplete. We do not award a trust label based on payment.
Three separate signals
Documented review
All four criteria below have a dated finding and a public source recorded within the last 180 days. The badge is withheld when any criterion is missing or stale. Read the findings and their limits before relying on them.
Sponsored
Paid, time-limited visibility. Sponsorship does not complete any review criterion, establish legitimacy or guarantee inventory. A sponsored listing can have incomplete review evidence.
No dated review means no recorded review, rather than a finding that the business is unsafe. Old source dates remain visible for context, but reviews older than 180 days do not earn a current badge.
Evidence required for a documented review
Business identity
A cited business or official registry record that connects the operating name to the entity. Registration alone does not establish inventory ownership or performance.
Published contact details
A cited supplier source for the contact method. A published phone number does not mean we called it or confirmed responsiveness.
Pickup address and access
A cited source identifying the inventory location and permission, appointments or collection limits. An office, mailing address or map pin does not establish warehouse access.
Purchase terms
A cited source for condition, inspection, payment, fees, returns and collection terms. Terms vary by seller and lot; missing terms remain buyer checks.
A source review is separate from an on-site inspection, supplier call, inventory audit or bill-of-lading check. Those actions must be explicitly recorded before a listing can claim they occurred. We do not currently award a separate physical-inspection or BOL audit badge.
Checks for your actual purchase
- Confirm the seller, invoice recipient and actual inventory location directly.
- Review the manifest and actual condition evidence; ask what can be inspected and what happens if the lot differs.
- Get the complete invoice and pickup or freight quote, including loading and unloading arrangements.
- Use recent sales for the same model, specification and condition. Manifest MSRP is not expected resale proceeds.
